Kyle Farnham

Chair, U.S. Consumer and Brand Marketing Practice, Burson-Marsteller



In February Kyle Farnham became chair of the U.S. Consumer and Brand Marketing Practice for Burson Marsteller. Farnham is responsible for building the practice's extensive portfolio and helping grow consumer brands.

In his previous role, Kyle has served as the managing director of MSLGROUP Atlanta, a full-service network office with 56 full-time professionals representing a diverse group of consumer marketing and B2B clients. His responsibilities include leading and managing the strategic direction of the office, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing client relationships, developing program strategy and campaigns for key clients, driving integration with other Publicis Groupe agencies, leading business development efforts and spearheading office marketing programs. Under Kyle’s leadership, the Atlanta office has led account work for The Home Depot, Abbott Laboratories, UPS, VF Corporation, Alcon, Siemens, Merial, Comcast, Central Garden & Pet, Spherion, Purina Cat Chow and Waste Management, among other clients. 

From 2000 to 2010, Kyle served as a senior account director and practice leader for MSLGROUP Atlanta’s consumer marketing group. He was responsible for strategic planning, concept development, program design and execution for more than 100 different campaigns, announcements, special events, product launches, sponsorship activation programs and community relations initiatives. In this role, Kyle led work for a variety of clients including The Coca-Cola Company, The Home Depot, Chevron, Philips Consumer Electronics and IRWIN Industrial Tools. He served as the U.S. account director for The Home Depot for more than six years. Kyle also worked on communications campaigns and special projects for Arby’s Restaurant Group, NAPA Auto Parts, ING, The Krystal Company and General Motors Southeast Region.

During his time with MSLGROUP, Kyle has spearheaded some of the agency’s largest PR-driven sponsorship activation programs, including Coca-Cola’s sponsorship of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, The Home Depot’s sponsorship of the USOC’s Olympic Job Opportunities Program in 2004 and 2006 and Chevrolet’s sponsorship of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Torch Relay.

Prior to joining MSLGROUP Atlanta, Kyle worked as the director of public relations for Mizuno USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mizuno Corporation, the world’s largest general sporting goods manufacturer. At Mizuno, Kyle developed and managed all public relations programs and media relations for the company’s golf, diamond sports and running footwear divisions. Prior to joining Mizuno, Kyle worked for Taylor Public Relations in New York. He was responsible for developing and executing public relations programs for several clients including the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association, The Gillette Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, Reebok, Power Bar and USA Cycling.

Kyle graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in politics.  

He lives in Johns Creek, Ga. with his wife, Jennifer, and children, Emma (17) and Ryan (15).
