The Department of Communication takes great pride in having a strong and award-winning faculty with diverse interest areas. The department has 23 full time faculty and a number of outstanding part-time faculty members. Our faculty members have written numerous academic journal articles, books, and book chapters. Communication professors are members of the Faculty Senate and serve on many campus committees. They advise student groups ranging from the Lambda Pi Eta honor society to the College's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
Most importantly, department professors value the liberal arts mission of the College of Charleston. The atmosphere among faculty and students is highly collegial. Students have and always will be our first priority.
