The Department of Communication creates and shares knowledge of communication and relational processes, including ethical and critical decision-making, with the goal of encouraging the development of engaged citizens preparing for leadership in their professions, community, and world.

Student Opportunities

We are fortunate to have wonderful relationships with local companies looking to hire CofC Communication majors and minors as interns. Each year the Department of Communication hosts an internship fair where students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with employers. More than 35 companies participated in this fall's internship fair. See event slideshow here.
