Department of Communication faculty members have served on numerous editorial boards, including the boards of Communication Yearbook, Controversia: An International Journal of Debate and Democratic Renewal, and Southern Communication Journal.  The faculty include former editors of Carolinas Communication Annual (the journal of the Carolinas Communication Association), Contemporary Argumentation and Debate (the journal of the Cross Examination Debate Association), and the Journal of Radio Studies (a journal of the Broadcast Education Association).
